We are ready to welcome you back...

We are getting ready to welcome you back to The Marlow Club.

Whilst we have been closed we have been preparing for the day we can open again and see all our members in a brand new Marlow Club.

Below are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions we have received:

Our No1 priority is the safety of our team and members so you will notice a number of changes. We really do hope these changes improve your experience and enjoyment whilst using the facilities at the club.

All visits to Health Clubs will now need to be booked. This includes the Gym and Pool.  We have made this as simple as possible for you to reduce overcrowding, whilst enhancing your experience and adhering to social distancing rules.  These slots will be 1hr 30min in duration, allowing you to train and even grab some food before you leave!  This can be booked on the app, online or over the phone. (If you need a reminder of your app login details, please email info@themarlowclub.co.uk

Above all, if you are feeling unwell, stay at home and follow government self isolation guidelines. Please wash your hands or sanitise when you arrive at the club and during your visit.

General

Cleaning

-The cleanliness of our club has always been our priority, and we have a full in-house cleaning team that many of you know and recognise.  At this time we have increased our cleaning team and hours throughout the day and we will be using medical grade products to kill 99.9998% of viruses, germs and bacteria.
-Cleaning and sanitise stations are located throughout the club.
-Every 7 days we will be using the latest technology throughout the club which kills 99.9998% of viruses, bacteria and germs and then remains active for 7 days meaning it will continue to kill on contact should the surface be re-contaminated.
-Air conditioning and air ventilation systems have been recalibrated to deliver more fresh air and the filters are coated with the anti-viral product.

Gym

-All equipment has been spaced out to ensure social distancing and a far more enjoyable and spacious environment for you.
A zero towel policy in the gym is now in place based on government guidance.
-The gym has cleaning and hand sanitise stations throughout.
-Hand sanitiser must be used on entry to the gym located at the stairs.
-All equipment must be cleaned before and after use.
-Training in pairs or groups will not be allowed at present. Come with a friend to train, but please no spotting or sharing of kit.
-NEW booking slots have now been created for the whole gym and pool to reduce overcrowding, enhancing your experience and ensuring social distancing.  These slots will be 1hr 30min in duration per slot allowing you to train and even grab some food before you leave.

Pool, Sauna and Steam room

-The pool will be open but limited to 2 members per lane so a maximum of 6 in the pool at one time.
-The pool slot cannot be specifically booked, you will need to book a club booking session which lasts for 90 minutes.
-We ask all members to limit there swim times at present to a maximum of 45 minutes during these slots.
-Please avoid stopping at the end of the pool if another fellow swimming in your lane has stopped.
-We ask all swimmers shower before entering the pool using the poolside showers.
-The direction of your swim will now be up and down, rather than a clockwise rotation of the lane.
-The Sauna and steam room is unfortunately temporarily out of action until further advice is given.
-Due to current guidelines, and the necessary need for as much lane swimming availability as possible, we have made the difficult decision to make our pool ‘adult only’. This means that there will be no children’s swimming activities taking place in the Pool, which sadly includes Dolphin Swim School who have been part of TMC for many years.

Studios

The Lounge

-Table service and a Takeaway/grab and go service will all be available.
-If you are eating in please take a seat and we will take the order from your table and contactless payment there and then. No cash for now!
-Protective and privacy screens have been installed to make your experience even more exclusive.
-Tables will be cleaned with the anti-viral and bacterial products after use.
-Food can be ordered to collect at a time that suits you to takeaway after you have trained.
-A new outdoor seating area has been created outside the club if you wish to sit outside.

PilaYoga

-A new timetable has been created to launch when we re-open. A lot of classes that you are doing online via Zoom will remain taught in this way for now.
-Some new classes will be returning to the studio to be taught face to face in small groups.  Look out for these on the Pila Yoga app.  Those taught online will say ‘Virtual’, those in the Studio will say ‘Studio’

Changing Rooms

-We hope the changing rooms will remain open but at a significantly reduced capacity.  We are waiting for government guidelines but we are ready either way!
-We ask that where possible you come changed as this help your club and fellow community.
